A Beautiful Cherry Finish on Hardwood Floors
Our Antique collection is a wire-brushed engineered oak floor with a classic cherry finish. This will have a more rustic appeal than our Oak Plank collection. This is because of the texture created with the wire brushing that the manufacturer applies. Also, the Antique will have a slightly longer average board length than the Oak Plank. This product is made in the USA, and is a ½” thick, using 5 plies of hardwood to make an exceptionally stable hardwood floor.
A Face Sawn Floor
Another feature of this floor is it’s sawn face. That means that the veneer for the face of the board was cut across the log at the mill, as opposed to being peeled. Cheaper made engineered floors have a peeled wear layer that doesn't look like a traditonal hardwood floor. This is a bit technical but you can notice the difference in grain by ordering samples and checking your options.
A Look at Oak Grade Options
This gives our Blue Label engineered floors offer the same look as solid wood flooring. We answer most questions about the different grade of flooring here. Our value Blue Label grade allows knots, color variation, and wormholes to be visible in these oak floors. Expect the average board length to be far less than the first quality. Expect boards to be between 12” and 72”, with an average around 24”. Our 5” plank floors are for the customer that prefers a wide plank floor for their home. The Cherry finish is a darker colored finish, with a deep red tone. Expect the Cherry to show less contrast between boards than the other colors.
